People of J&K embrace democracy, reject separatism: PM Modi

Srinagar, Oct 21 (KNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the people of Jammu and Kashmir on National Unity Day for rejecting separatism and terrorism, thereby upholding India's Constitution and democracy. Speaking at a parade in Kevadia, Gujarat, Modi highlighted that the people of J&K have moved beyond a decades-old agenda of division and violence, choosing instead to strengthen the nation through their votes.

"I salute the people of Jammu and Kashmir," PM Modi stated, commending their decision to turn away from separatist influences and contribute to the country’s democratic values. He noted that this shift effectively counters years of propaganda.

Modi also issued a strong message to terrorism sponsors, warning that their attempts to destabilize India will fail. "For the past decade, India has resolved significant issues threatening national unity.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelTerrorist masterminds now know that harming India is futile, as the country will not spare those responsible," he added.

He emphasized that the recent election in J&K was conducted without discrimination, marking the first time the Chief Minister took an oath on the Indian Constitution, a milestone he said would have brought peace to India’s founding leaders.

National Unity Day, observed on October 31 to honor Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s legacy, commemorates the birth of India’s first Deputy Prime Minister, known for unifying India’s princely states. (KNS)
