Lauds J&K people for making ‘Meri Matti Mera Desh’ campaign successful

Jammu Oct 13 (KNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided adequate funds, planning strategy and complete roadmap to make J&K one of the best UTs of the country and work in this direction is going on with full pace.

This was stated by Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former deputy CM after starting development work in Jawahar Nagar, Ward No 7 area of Jammu Cantonment here today. The development work will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 16 lakhs. 

On the occasion, Rekha Mahajan District President, Vinay Gupta Senior Leader, Narinder Koki, Pushpinder Charak, Bharat Bhushan Mandal President, Rahul Kumar Corporator, Indu Bhushan, Rachit Khosla, Satvir Singh, Sandeep Gupta, Ritesh Kumar, Varun Sharma, Abhinadan Sharma, Vinod Kumar, Suraj Rana, Jasmeet Pandey, Gurdyal Singh and Arvind Gupta accompanied the former Deputy Chief Minister during the inauguration of development work and assured wholehearted support in ensuring that works commenced shall be completed well in time with no compromise on quality.

Talking specifically about Jammu, Kavinder made it clear that the focus of government in making Temple City a Smart City indeed has brought in many vibrant changes which the people can gauge by themselves by simply setting a step outside their homes.

The BJP stalwart leader said that the number of development works are in progress in the Jammu City and the days are not far when the name of this city will find a place in the list of best cities across the country providing every modern civic infra and other amenities which the developed cities around the world offer to their citizens.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said that looking into all these works, one can say that development is the new norm in J&K and the reason behind this change is Modi Government’s keenness towards welfare of J&K. 

The former deputy Chief Minister said that BJP Government at the Centre is relying on a multipronged strategy to upgrade all the citizen-centric facilities in one go and for this many development works are presently afoot in the region. He said that the government in J&K has adopted a fast and reliable policy to ensure best modern amenities to the people without any hassle or hurdle.

Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta also participated in the Meri Matti Mera Desh programme which was concluded here today at Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar Jammu.

He highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this campaign involved collecting soil from the homes, surroundings, statues, and memorials of martyrs at various locations across the nation, including Jammu & Kashmir. This soil will contribute to the creation of 'Amrit Vatika' in front of Rashtrapati Bhawan on 'Kartavya Path' (formerly known as Rajpath).

The senior BJP leader emphasized that these initiatives, conducted under the slogan "Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan," aim to celebrate 77 years of Indian Independence. He noted that Kalash Yatras, transporting soil in 7500 urns, including those collected from Jammu and Kashmir, will ultimately reach the nation's capital, Delhi, to merge with the soil at 'Amrit Vatika.'
