Srinagar, June 20th(KNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir on June 20 and 21 to launch various development projects.
He's also set to lead the International Yoga Day celebrations in Srinagar, officials told KNS.
During his J&K visit PM Modi will be inaugurating major development projects related to road infrastructure, water supply schemes, and infrastructure in higher education etc. in the state. His visit is intended to "empower the youth and upgrade the infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir". He'll also attending an event dedicated to youth empowerment in the state.
PM Modi shall also celebrate International Yoga Day celebrations and address the gathering in Srinagar.
On June 20th , The Prime Minister is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 84 development projects worth over Rs 1500 crore in Jammu and Kashmir at around 6 pm.
In addition to the inauguration ceremonies, the Prime Minister will also launch the Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) valued at Rs. 1800 crore.
Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri section, which aims to improve connectivity and facilitate smoother transportation in the region is also scheduled to be inaugurated during the day's events.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the development of Industrial Estates, which are expected to boost economic growth and create employment opportunities.
The construction of "06 Government Degree Colleges" will also be greenlit, aiming to provide accessible higher education to the local population. The Prime Minister will hand out appointment letters to over 2000 people who have been selected for various positions in government service.
On June 21, At approximately 6. 30 am, the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend the 10th International Day of Yoga event, which will be held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar. During the event, the Prime Minister will deliver a speech to the assembled audience.
Following his address, the Prime Minister will join the participants in a Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) session, where he will practice yoga alongside the attendees. (KNS)
