Police claim recovery of ammo, incriminating material during searches in Bandipora

 Bandipora, Oct 30 (KNS): Security forces in Bandipora on Wednesday claimed to have recovered ammunition and incriminating material during a search operation in S.K Bala village of Bandipora.

A Senior Police Officer told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that ammunition, grenades and other suspicious items were recovered in a joint operation by Bandipora police, Army’s 13 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF’s 3rd Battalion in Manz Mohalla area of SK Bala.

He also said that acting on specific intelligence, the security forces searched the residence of Ishfaq Majeed Dar, son of Abdul Majeed Dar, in SK Bala Ajas, Sumbal.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"During the search, a rusted hand grenade, five AK-47 rounds, and five posters linked to the banned terrorist organization LeT were found behind the house", the official said.

An investigation is underway to determine the origins and intentions linked to the materials discovered, he added.

A Case under the  FIR No. 140/2021 U/S 307,427 IPC,3/4 Exp. Sub Act,13,16,23 UAPA Act have been registered in P/S Sumbal Bandipora in this regard. (KNS)
