Srinagar March 13 (KNS): Police have observed "Thana Diwas" in various police establishments across valley with a view to enhance community engagement and address public concerns.
DIG NKR Baramulla attended Thana Diwas and held Public Darbar at Police Station Baramulla. SSP Ganderbal chaired at PS Safapora. SSP Handwara at Police Station Handwara. Besides, other zonal/supervisory officers attended the events at their respective zone/ districts.
The participants included community members, farmers, Auqaf Committee representatives, Numberdars, Chowkidars, teachers and members of traders. The chairing officers attentively listened to the grievances and concerns put forth by the participants. Chairing officers ensured that J&K Police shall remain accessible to the people, and that their grievances relating to Police will be addressed immediately and in an effective manner and the grievances pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments to resolve them on priority.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
They further stressed upon the Zero tolerance policy of J&K Police towards drugs and requested the participants to come forward with any information regarding the same and assured them of immediate action.
Participants in the events expressed their gratitude towards J&K Police for initiating such interactive sessions, which they deemed essential for building trust and cooperation between police and the public.
