Srinagar February 18 (KNS): Police have seized eight vehicles involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Handwara.
A police team from Police Post Langate, led by IC Police Post, seized four tippers and three tractors, while a team from Police Post Chogul seized one tipper engaged in illegal mineral extraction. The vehicles were challaned under relevant sections of the MMRD Act, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the owners and drivers.
