Srinagar, Dec 26 (KNS): President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday honored two exceptional young talents, Ayaan Sajad from Kashmir and Risheek Kumar Sharma from Jammu, with the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar at a grand ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Ayaan Sajad, a 12-year-old singing prodigy, received the award for his remarkable achievements in the Art and Culture category. Known for his soulful rendition of the Kashmiri classic “BeDard Dadi Chane”, originally penned by poet Shamas Fakeer, Ayaan has become a symbol of Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage. His ability to blend traditional and modern musical styles has captivated audiences across the nation. Recognized for his efforts to preserve and promote Kashmiri music among younger generations, Ayaan’s journey began with small performances, including one at the Achabal Open Mic, and has since blossomed into nationwide recognition.
