Srinagar March 17 (KNS): Encompassed by the blue hills of the Aravalii, the celebrated international Surajkund Crafts Mela 2022 is all set to host a wide range of audience after a gap of two years from 19th this month.
J&K UT is participating as Theme partner , the Mela will reflect the grandeur art, culture and the cuisine of J&K in various forms.
Director Handicrafts and Handloom Kashmir, Mehmood Ahmad Shah, took stock of the preparations at SurajKund Haryana. According to him, the Mela will exhibit the architectural depictions of a Kashmiri House, Houseboat, front facade of Mubarak Mandi, Bache Darwaza and Cheshmashahi.
In addition, there will be live demonstrations of six different crafts of J&K in the setting of the Khankha e Maula.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelShah added with cultural programs running throughout the day, there will be an elegant fashion show by zubair kirmani . Special cultural performances will be on the 22nd March and 4th April.
Various Govt departments like Tourism, Industries and commerce, Khadi village, JKI, Agriculture, Horticulture and JKTDC will also be participating in a big way.
Thousands of craft lovers are eagerly waiting for the inauguration which is on 19th of this month says an avid and regular renowned designer of India.
