Prof. Soz Pays Tribute to Dr. Manmohan Singh

Srinagar, Dec 27(KNS) Prof. Saifuddin Soz, former Union Minister, condoles the death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh 

 
"After attending a Cabinet meeting in July 2007, I followed Dr. Manmohan Singh to his office, where we sat and discussed various matters. During our conversation, I raised the topic of his planned visit to Pakistan at the invitation of then-President Pervez Musharraf.
 
Dr. Singh expressed his disappointment over the postponement of the visit, explaining that President Musharraf needed time to resolve the situation around Lal Masjid and to engage in decisive talks with the agitating law
 
Over time, Dr. Singh's hope for a meaningful dialogue with President Musharraf faded.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelUnfortunately, Musharraf’s repeated promises for an appropriate dialogue never materialized, and India and Pakistan remained in a state of stagnation.
 
Dr. Manmohan Singh's aspiration for a decisive dialogue with Pakistan was never fulfilled, and this marks a profound loss for the nation.
 
As we move forward, we must live with the hope for a better future, despite the uncertainty that persists.
 
Dr. Manmohan Singh’s passing is a great loss to the nation. I extend my heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Gursharan Kaur and the daughters of Dr. Singh. May his soul rest in peace.”(KNS)
