Srinagar, Aug 02(KNS): Residents of Mulgam village staged a protest today against the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation (JKPDC) over the non-functioning 6MVA receiving station constructed four years ago.

Despite its completion two years back, the station remains inactive, prompting frustration among local residents.

They highlighted that significant funds—amounting to crores—were invested in the project, which has yielded no benefits due to the station's inaction.

Local residents said the impact of the station's inactivity on their daily lives, citing continuous electricity supply curtailments as a major issue.

They have urged both government authorities and the LG administration to address the situation promptly to provide relief to the affected community.(KNS).
