Pulwama Police Crack Down on Illegal Mining, Arrest 7 Drivers and Seize Vehicles


Pulwama, August 11, (KNS): Pulwama Police conducted a raid in the village of Kariamabad, leading to the arrest of seven drivers involved in the unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals. The police seized seven vehicles during the operation, including four tippers, one tractor, and two JCB machines.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Ganaie, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Irfan Mushtaq, Tanveer Ahmad Mir, Mohd Maqbool Mir, all residents of Kariamabad Pulwama, Nawaz Ahmad Wagay from Baderhama Shopian, and Aadil Ali Khan from Kakapora.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

A case has been registered under FIR No. 164/2024 in Police Station Pulwama, and an investigation is underway. Pulwama Police reaffirmed their commitment to clamping down on illegal mining and urged the community to report any such activities in their area.(KNS)
