Handwara,Sep 18 (KNS) : Police Station Qalamabad has organised a series of awareness and educational programs in the Mawer Valley area to strengthen police-public relations and highlight social issues.

At Higher Secondary School Harill, a debate was held to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event highlighted the professionalism and capabilities of the police force and encouraged students to understand the role of law enforcement in society.

An awareness program on new criminal laws and drug addiction was also held at Daru Uloom Madrasa Islamia Arabia Qasim ul Uloom Shirhama Laach Mawer. The program was aimed at educating students and the local community about legal reforms and the dangers of substance abuse.

In another initiative, Qalamabad police headed by the Station House Officer organised an awareness program during a Parent-Teacher meet at Mawer Valley Educational Institute, Qalamabad.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelStudents, staff, and parents attended the program and hailed the efforts of police in building a better understanding with the public. They also requested similar programs to be organised in other schools for the benefit of society.

A seminar on drug abuse was also organised by Qalamabad police at Government High School Shartgund Bala. Students as well as locals participated and appreciated the role of Handwara police in curbing the drug menace in the area.

These initiatives by Qalamabad police were widely welcomed by the community. Locals said such efforts will help spread awareness, prevent social evils, and build trust between people and law enforcement agencies.(KNS)
