Srinagar, Feb 27 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir witnessed widespread rain and snowfall over the past 24 hours, impacting daily life and transportation across the region. According to the Meteorological (MeT) Centre Srinagar, light to moderate rain and snow were reported at most places, with heavy rainfall recorded in Banihal and heavy snowfall in isolated higher reaches.
The MeT department has predicted generally cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and snow across most areas of Jammu and Kashmir on February 27 and 28. Isolated heavy rain and snow are also expected during this period. However, weather conditions are likely to improve by the afternoon of February 28.
Looking ahead, the forecast for March 1-2 indicates generally cloudy skies with light rain or snow at isolated to scattered locations. On March 3, light to moderate rain and snow are expected at many places, while March 4-8 is likely to remain generally dry.
