Srinagar November 22 (KNS): Renowned Journalist and distinguished author Rishi Suri announces the release of his debut book, "Children of the Chinar." The book delves into the remarkable journeys of Kashmir's talented young women, ranging from India's finest wheelchair basketball player to daring wildlife conservationists. These stories encapsulate the spirit of New Kashmiriyat, portraying the aspirations and achievements of these extraordinary individuals who contribute to making India proud every day.

The book spans diverse fields, including taekwondo, tourism, and beyond, providing readers with a unique insight into the vibrant tapestry of talent within Kashmir. Rishi belongs to the fourth generation of the family that owns and runs the Milap group. An internationally recognized journalist, he is known for his unapologetically strong opinions on global politics and diplomacy. He is also one of the few Indian diplomatic correspondents certified by the country’s Ministry of External Affairs.

He is a member of several international delegations such as the International Visitor Leadership Programme run by the State Department of the United States of America. He is also a Media Fellow with the Australia India Council and a member of the steering committee of the Australia India Youth Dialogue. Rishi is also a Chevening Scholar and has spent time in the newsroom at the Financial Times in London. He served as Media Advisor to Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti during the PDP- BJP Coalition government.(KNS)
