Residents of Shalimar, adjoining areas complain of foul smell in the area, appeal authorities for resolution


Srinagar, Mar 25 (KNS): Residents of Shalimar and adjoining areas on Monday expressed strong resentment over foul smell in the area, subsequently unattended by authorities, leaving locals into trouble.

Locals of Shalimar, Ishber, Char Booni-Gupt Ganga said their respective areas have been badly gripped by foul smell for last few days. They said the locals in such a situation finding it difficult to move around.

“The entire area of Shalimar, Ishber, and Char Booni-gupt Ganga is currently plagued by a foul odor caused by @jklcma. Urgent action is imperative to resolve this issue. Both tourists and locals are finding it difficult to move around. It's essential to keep the general public informed and updated on the situation,” he said in a post on X.

Meanwhile locals of the respective areas appealed authorities to take early action and save the residents from getting involved in any disease.(KNS)
