Residents protests against pesky power cuts in Shopian

Shopian January 21 (KNS): The residents of Landora village in Shopian district staged a protest at the Deputy Commissioner's office, voicing their frustration over the ongoing and severe power outages in the area. The protestors, comprising men and elderly villagers, gathered in significant numbers to demand immediate action from the authorities.

Holding Electricity Bills in Hands, they expressed their anguish over the hardships caused by the erratic electricity supply. The villagers stated that the power outages have disrupted their daily lives, They said That there are many Patients who need oxygen with students struggling to prepare for exams, businesses suffering losses, and households facing difficulties during the harsh winter months.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

One protestor highlighted that despite repeated complaints to the concerned authorities, no tangible action has been taken to resolve the issue. "We are forced to endure long hours without power in the freezing cold, which is unacceptable. The government must address our grievances and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply," he said.(KNS)
