The delegation in addition to Dr Raja Muzaffar consisted of Shabir Ahmad Bhat and Raashid Ashraf. The delegation gave a written representation to the Chief Engineer to counter Illegal Riverbed Mining in Sukhnag Nallah in Beerwah and other streams of Kashmir. Dr Raja Muzaffar during the meeting gave a detailed presentation to Chief Engineer B J Sharma on how illegal Riverbed Mining taking place on Pulwama and Budgam was impacting agriculture, wetland ecosystems, springs and groundwater.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel Chief Engineer IFC Kashmir assured the delegation to visit the affected sites soon and ensure order of National Green Tribunal and Supreme Court are enforced on the ground.(KNS).
