Jammu, February 07 (KNS): Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Safeer Choudhary has strongly condemned the brutal custodial torture that led to the tragic death of tribal youth Makhan Din in Kathua. Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, he extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
In an official statement, Choudhary said, “I strongly condemn the heinous torture of a tribal youth that resulted in his death. Such cowardly acts of violence against innocent civilians are unacceptable. Calling for swift and decisive action, Choudhary made the following demands: A time-bound judicial inquiry led by a sitting judge of the Hon'ble High Court. Compensation of ?10 lakh to Makhan Din’s family. A government job for the victim’s wife. Strict action against the police officials involved, including the immediate registration of an FIR.
He urged both the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor to personally intervene in the matter and ensure justice is served.(KNS)
