Srinagar, 06 July (KNS): The General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar today accused the administration of shamefully neglecting the historic heritage buildings and religious sites in Srinagar.

Expressing deep concern over the neglect and decay of historical and religious sites throughout Srinagar, Sagar said, "It is truly disgraceful to see these significant landmarks being left to crumble before our eyes. The lack of care and attention given to these sites is simply unacceptable and must be rectified immediately. It is a sad testament to the administration's priorities that they are allowing such neglect to persist."

"The condition of Zirayat Sharief Hazrat Syed Mohammad Habibullah Sarkhabi (RA) at Syed Kocha Kawdara is particularly distressing. It is imperative that the government address the deteriorating infrastructure and lack of facilities at these Shrines. Earlier Sagar paid obeisance at the Ziyarat Sharief Hazrat Syed Mohammad Habibullah Sarkhabi (RA) at Syed Kocha Kawdara.
During his visit, he engaged with the Intezamia Committee of the shrine to discuss the necessary improvements that need to be addressed. They delved into the various needs of the shrine that require immediate attention.

"The community is in uproar over the government's blatant disregard for our cherished heritage buildings and Shrines. These architectural gems, steeped in history and culture, are being left to decay and crumble before our very eyes. It is a travesty that such important pieces of our past are being neglected and forgotten. The government must be held accountable for their failure to preserve and protect these invaluable treasures. It is time for action to be taken before it is too late. Our heritage buildings deserve better than this neglect and indifference." (KNS)
