Kishtwar, February 03 (KNS):  Former Jammu & Kashmir Minister and senior leader G. M. Saroori, accompanied by his close associate Shabir Lone, conducted an extensive tour of Dugga, Drabshalla, Bhagra, Narwar, and Sarthal, where he met with the local populace, listened to their grievances, and assured them of his unwavering support in all circumstances.

During his visit, G. M. Saroori attended the Nimaz-e-Janazah (funeral prayers) of Javed Ahmed Zargar’s mother in Drabshalla. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, offering prayers for the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the loss. Saroori emphasized that he shares the sorrow of every family in the region and stands with them during their difficult times.

Following the funeral, Saroori visited Dugga, Bhagra, Narwar, and Sarthal, where he engaged in direct interaction with local residents. He patiently listened to their grievances, which primarily revolved around poor road connectivity, lack of electricity, inadequate healthcare facilities, scarcity of clean drinking water, and limited educational infrastructure. People expressed their frustration over the non-completion of government projects and the lack of attention from the administration towards their needs. They highlighted how severe winter conditions further worsen their hardships, making it even more difficult to access essential services.

Saroori strongly criticized the government’s inaction and said: "It is disheartening to see that despite repeated appeals, the basic needs of people in remote areas remain unfulfilled. The government must prioritize these issues and take immediate steps to improve infrastructure and public services."During the visit, Saroori was informed that several key development projects in Dugga, Bhagra, and Drabshalla have been stalled for years, leaving residents without much-needed improvements in their daily lives. He urged the authorities to fast-track the construction of roads, improve electricity supply, and establish functional healthcare centers in these far-flung areas.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He specifically demanded; Completion of road infrastructure in Sarthal, Bhagra, and Drabshalla to enhance connectivity; Improvement in electricity supply to tackle frequent power outages.. Setup of well-equipped medical centers and dispensaries to ensure basic healthcare facilities.& Expanding access to clean drinking water in villages where water scarcity is a major problem.

Saroori assured the residents that he would continue to raise their concerns at the highest levels of government until their legitimate demands were met. Saroori also addressed rising unemployment among the youth in the region. He urged the government to initiate employment programs and create opportunities for young people by boosting local industries, vocational training programs, and self-employment schemes.

"The government must accelerate recruitment drives in public sector departments and support small businesses in these areas to create sustainable jobs for the youth," Saroori emphasized.

Saroori reassured the people that he would always stand by them, no matter the circumstances. He vowed to bring their issues to the forefront and fight for their rights at all possible platforms.

"The people of Dugga, Bhagra, and Sarthal should know that they are not alone. I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure their voices are heard and their problems are addressed."

He warned the government that if immediate action is not taken, he and the people would be left with no option but to initiate mass protests to demand their rights.

As he concluded his visit, G. M. Saroori reaffirmed his commitment to fighting for the people’s rights and pushing for urgent developmental initiatives that would uplift the underprivileged communities of these remote areas.(KNS)
