Srinagar, July 4 (KNS): The second group of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims started their journey from Pahalgam on Friday morning. Despite the recent terror attack in the area, the devotees praised the arrangements and said they felt safe.
“This is my first time on the Yatra. The facilities are very good, and there is no need to be scared,” said a pilgrim from Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, the first batch of pilgrims performed bhajans and aarti upon reaching the sacred Amarnath Cave. This group had started their journey from the Baltal base camp on Thursday morning. Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje was also among the devotees in this batch.
The Amarnath Yatra, which began on Thursday, is being conducted via two routes, Baltal and Pahalgam. The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway serves as a major road link for thousands of pilgrims making their way to the holy shrine.(KNS)
