Srinagar, Oct 26 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that security forces have adopted a new, robust strategy to address emerging threats in Jammu and Kashmir.

He assured that every instance of innocent bloodshed will be met with a strong response, underscoring the gravity of recent attacks in Gagangeer, where laborers were killed, and Baramulla, which saw the loss of soldiers.

Speaking at the passing-out parade of 629 BSF recruits at the STC Humhama, the LG stressed the importance of collective efforts among the police, army, and central forces like the BSF. He called for enhanced cooperation to uproot terrorism across J&K, with a specific call for the BSF to expand its role beyond border security. “BSF is known for its patriotism and courage, but it must go further in close coordination with central forces,” he stated.

Highlighting the issue of drones used to smuggle weapons and narcotics, Sinha urged the BSF to upgrade its technical and intelligence capabilities.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“We’re not just facing a weapon threat; narcotics are also being air-dropped, feeding terrorism and damaging our youth.
