Srinagar, Aug 13(KNS): As Independence Day approaches, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir V K Bhirdi stated that a comprehensive security plan has been prepared in light of recent terror activities.

Speaking at Bakshi Stadium, Bhirdi said, “We are aware of recent terror activities. There is an ongoing operation in Kokernag. So we have laid a multi-layer security grid for smooth functions on August 15 across Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”

"Full dress and security rehearsals have been conducted across all districts in Kashmir, with multi-tier security arrangements in place for the 15th August events. Police have implemented strong security measures to ensure the safety of cultural programs and main events. We remain alert and vigilant, continuously strengthening our operations in response to any potential threats," he said.(KNS).
