(KNS) Teetwal, 11 September— The Sharda Divas celebrations took place today at the historic Sharda Temple on the Line of Control (LoC) in Teetwal, Kashmir. The event saw the participation of nearly 200 yatris from Jammu and Kashmir as well as international pilgrims.

The festivities commenced with the recitation of Sharda Namawali at the temple, followed by a ceremonial yatra led by Ravinder Pandita, Head of the Save Sharda Committee Kashmir. The procession moved towards Swami Nand Lal Ghat, where the pilgrims took a holy dip in the Kishenganga River and performed the Ganga Aarti.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

A special highlight of the day was the live release of a devotional song dedicated to Sharda Mata by Athrot, broadcasted from LoC Teetwal by Ravinder Pandita. The symbolic Charri Mubarak yatra from the temple to the ghat underscored the significance of cross-LoC heritage and religious tourism.

In his address, Ravinder Pandita called upon the government to reopen the Sharda pilgrimage, which has been suspended since the partition. (KNS)
