Bandipora, 28th June (KNS): Censuring current state of affairs, lacuna in education sector JK People's Party Chief Sheeban Ashai excoriated present regime over continued neglect of North Kashmir.
In a statement issued to KNS, Ashai said that Education sector in Bandipora is in doldrums as various key positions are unoccupied from past several months.
"Delay in filling dozens of vacant posts in education department is not only mangling children's education but also a stark specimen of present Government's seriousness towards welfare of citizens in Border Districts. Two posts of Zonal Educational officers, 13 posts out of 25 higher secondary principals are lying vacant. Similarly about 15 headmaster posts out of 50 are yet to be filled, such dearth of heads of schools at secondary and senior secondary levels have taken a grevious toll on overall functioning of academic institutions in the District."
Besides administrative posts even academic posts are lying vacant in Bandipora District.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelOut of 312 posts of lecturers, 155 posts are lying vacant, statement reads.
" Such criminal nonchalance; administrative breakdown adversely affects students. About 30 posts of Masters and 15 posts of teachers are also vacant in the district. Besides schools and higher secondaries, posts are lying vacant in District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Bandipora. Post of DIET principal Bandipora is being manned by Principal Ganderbal as additional charge. Moreover six posts of head of departments in DIET and nine out of 11 positions of lecturers in DIET are also vacant. Eight non teaching positions are also unfilled in District. Ashai expressed deep resentment over disarray in education department". Party top brass objected to such governance collapse, failure of present regime to engage staff for overcoming inadequacies in educational department," statement added. (KNS).
