Jammu, July 20, (KNS): In a significant development, the shopkeepers of Nai Basti have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta for his instrumental role in revoking the demolition orders of their shops. The shops were slated for demolition due to the construction of an upcoming flyover in the area.
Notably Lt Governor today has issued necessary directions to the authorities concerned for revoking the demolition of shops till the affected shopkeepers would be rehabilitated.

Kavinder Gupta, addressing the delegation, reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the interests of the local business community. He stated, "The well-being of our small business owners is crucial to the economic fabric of our society. The proposed demolition was not just about losing shops, but about affecting the lives and dreams of many families. I am pleased that we were able to come to a resolution that benefits everyone involved."

He further added, "Infrastructure development is essential for progress, but it must not come at the expense of our citizens' livelihoods. We need to find a balance where development projects can proceed without displacing our hardworking shopkeepers."(KNS)
