Karnah, Kupwara (KNS) : The Karnah region witnessed its first significant snowfall of the season, with Sadhna Top recording one foot of fresh snow.
The snowfall has led to the closure of the Karnah-Kupwara road, disrupting vehicular traffic.
The Border Roads Organization (BRO) has begun snow-clearing operations to restore road connectivity. Meanwhile, the Civil Administration in Karnah has issued an advisory regarding vehicular movement on the Karnah-Chowkibal road.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelTravelers have been advised to confirm the road status before undertaking any journey.
As part of the advisory, vehicles are required to carry antiskid chains. Those without these chains will not be allowed to pass through the Traffic Control Points (TCP) at Baghballa and Chowkibal to ensure safe passage and prevent accidents on the snow-covered roads.
Residents and travelers have been urged to follow the advisory to ensure their safety during this period of adverse weather.(KNS).
