Anantnag. 16 October (KNS):- Javid Ahmad urges the government to close the wine shops in Kashmir as the people of Jammu and Kashmir have always valued their rich cultural and spiritual heritage, which is deeply rooted in the principles of peace, unity, and moral values. However, the recent proliferation of wine shops in various parts of Kashmir has raised serious concerns among the local population.
Javid Ahmad said that keeping in view cultural and religious Sensitivity, Kashmir is a region where a majority of the population adheres to Islamic principles that strictly prohibit the consumption of alcohol. The existence of wine shops not only offends the religious sentiments of a large section of society but also undermines the cultural ethos of Kashmir. The availability of alcohol has led to an increase in social problems, including domestic violence, public disturbances, and a rise in criminal activities. Closing these shops would greatly contribute to restoring peace and harmony within our communities.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
