Srinagar, Nov 17 (KNS): Srinagar Court has directed Parimpora Police to register a First Information Report (FIR) against J&K Bank associate for leaking salary account details of a consumer to a stranger.
The Court of Forest Magistrate, Srinagar, presided over by Feroz Ahmad Khan issued the directions to Police Station Parimpora after Advocate Aamir Masoodi representing the complainant vehemently argued that the bank associate has committed “criminal breach of trust” by disclosing account details of consumer to the third person.
Advocate Masoodi further pleaded that disclosure of any details pertaining to the bank account of consumer including balance, loan amount etc by bank to third person is a criminal breach of trust, affecting society at large and must be put to an end.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Advocate Masoodi submitted before court that the Banking Associate Danish Hamid Dar with “malafide intention” leaked all the information pertaining to salary account of complainant Dr Jahangir Ahmad Bhat.
“My client has got a lot of spam communications from the last several months which he suspects was due to the actions of the Banking Associate,” Masoodi pleaded.
Court observed that averments made in application discloses the commission of cognizable offence. “I deem it proper to direct SHO Police Station Parimpora to register an FIR against the accused for commission of offences under relevant provisions of law,” the court said. (KNS)
