Srinagar, July 25, (KNS): In a major step against drug trafficking, Srinagar Police has seized a residential property worth around ?55 lakh under the NDPS Act.
The property, a two-storey house built on 13.5 marlas of land at Dawood Colony, Anchaar, belongs to Khazir Mohammad Tiploo, father of accused drug peddler Hilal Ahmad Tiploo. Hilal, a repeat offender, is booked in FIR No. 85/2024 under sections 8, 20, 21, and 22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Soura.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Investigations found the house was purchased using money earned from drug trafficking. Acting under sections 68-E and 68-F of the NDPS Act, police attached the property, preventing any sale or transfer without official approval.
Police said the move is part of their ongoing efforts to break the financial backbone of drug networks in Srinagar. They urged the public to share information and help keep the city’s youth safe from drugs.(KNS)
