Srinagar Jan 13 (KNS): Srinagar experienced an unusual warmth, hitting 15.0 degrees Celsius, marking the sixth hottest January day in 133 years.
The city last recorded such temperatures in 2010, reaching 15.8 degrees Celsius. Historical data reveals the hottest January day was on Jan 23, 1902, at 17.2°C, followed by Jan 25, 2010, at 15.8°C.

The weather is expected to remain mostly dry until January 23, with a chance of light snow on isolated higher reaches on January 16 and 20.
