Srinagar swelters at 37.4°C, hottest since 1953

Srinagar, July 5(KNS): The Kashmir Valley experienced unusually high temperatures on Saturday, with Srinagar recording its third-highest maximum temperature ever at 37.4°C, according to the Meteorological Centre, Srinagar.

This intense heatwave marks one of the hottest July days on record for the city.
The current temperature falls just short of the previous highs: 37.7°C recorded on July 5, 1953, and the all-time highest of 38.3°C on July 10, 1946.

The extreme heat has sparked concerns about rising temperatures in the region, which is typically known for its moderate summer climate.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
