Srinagar 05: SSP Handwara Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary-JKPS, held a public meeting at Town Hall Langate. The event was attended by Addl. Superintendent Handwara (Zaffer Nawaz -JKPS), SDPO, SHO PS Handwara and other officers. The meeting was attended by Community Leaders, Social Activists, Religious Heads, Traders and other respectable citizens of the area.

SSP Handwara emphasized upon the importance of setting up community policing in order to strengthen Police Public trust. He urged for collective efforts to combat Drug Abuse and Social Evils that has emerged as a big challenge in society, calling for a mission-driven approach from community service to eradicate the drug menace.
The program concluded with condemnation of innocent killing by terrorists in Kulgam and strong solidarity with bereaved family.(KNS)
