Strong Winds and Light Rain in J&K Today, Dry Conditions Ahead

Srinagar March 28 (KNS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecasted light rain and thunderstorms at isolated places on March 28.


The region will experience strong surface winds ranging between 60-70 kmph in both Kashmir and Jammu divisions, expected to persist until the afternoon or late afternoon today.

According to the forecast, weather conditions will remain generally dry from March 29 to 31, extending into the first week of April, with no major precipitation expected between April 1 and April 6.

For public safety, authorities have cautioned against outdoor activities during the peak wind hours, advising residents and tourists to stay indoors, avoid boating and Shikara rides, and refrain from standing near weak structures or electric wires.

The latest update from the Met Centre Srinagar suggests an overall improvement in weather conditions after today's brief spell of rain and wind. However, people are advised to remain cautious until the strong winds subside.(KNS)
