Srinagar, August 7 (KNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, on Wednesday, had a day-long meeting with grassroots-level party workers, including booth leaders, in north Kashmir’s Uri constituency, from where he is contesting the upcoming assembly polls.

According to a party statement, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari held a series of detailed meetings with constituency leaders, senior workers, and especially booth-level leaders to formulate strategies for the upcoming assembly elections.

During these meetings, the Apni Party president and candidate for the constituency gathered firsthand information and feedback.

On this occasion, he advised the party leaders and senior workers to remain well-connected with the masses and ensure that the people fully informed about the party’s people-centric agenda and policies.

He said, “This is the right time for us to accelerate our public outreach to make people well aware of our agenda and policies for the upliftment and well-being of this constituency, which has always been neglected by those in power after receiving votes from the people here. When you engage with the public, avoid speaking negatively about our political opponents. Instead, focus on explaining Apni Party’s intentions and agenda for the prosperity of the people. The public is intelligent enough to make their own decisions and distinctions.”

He added, “I have complete faith in Almighty Allah, who knows that my intent is to serve Uri and its people because I belong to this place.”

He urged his party colleagues to take every possible measure to fortify the party's presence in every corner of the constituency.

He said, “We should identify our weaknesses, even the minor ones, in order to improve the party's presence here.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWe do not have much time; therefore, we must work hard and value every hour. He assured that once he receives a public mandate to serve, he will ensure the prompt redressal of these issues, including the enduring electricity crisis in the area.

Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari also engaged with local reporters during his day-long activities in Uri. Responding to a question about some party leaders who recently left the party, he said, “In politics and within political parties, people come and go. Some stay, while others leave, which is not unusual. I wish the best for those colleagues who have departed. I believe that most people in politics genuinely want to serve and contribute to the well-being of the people. Therefore, I extend my best wishes to all my former colleagues.”

During the party president’s visit to various areas across Uri, the leaders who accompanied him included the party’s constituency in-charge, Choudhary Mushtaq; Constituency Coordinator, Farooq Tantray; Deputy Coordinator of the constituency, Ishfaq Lone; Senior Leaders; and all Block Presidents.
