Handwara, Nov 16 (KNS): People's Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone on Saturday criticized the National Conference (NC), stating that symbolic gestures like putting shawls on leaders cannot undo what Jammu and Kashmir has lost in the past.

Addressing a press conference in Handwara, Lone accused NC of failing to address critical issues while being in power.
He claimed the party has often used its authority to suppress opposition rather than work for the collective welfare of the region. "If NC wants to reclaim anything, it must include every party in the process," Lone emphasized.

He also highlighted the events of 1987, which, according to him, sparked turmoil in the Valley.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"Nobody wants to talk about the aftermath of 1987, which led to major turmoil in Kashmir," he said.

Lone further alleged that NC is hand-in-glove with the BJP, raising questions about their intentions. He expressed concern that critical issues, such as the Indus Water Treaty, were ignored during elections but have now emerged as pressing matters.

Urging for a collaborative approach, Lone called on all political parties to work together for the betterment of Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring a prosperous and peaceful future. (KNS)
