Srinagar, Oct 30 (KNS): Tariq Hameed Karra, the Jammu and Kashmir Congress, recently held his first official meeting with the party’s new district presidents.
Speaking to KNS exclusively the gathering focused on strategies to strengthen the party at grassroots levels and ensure the effective delivery of its core philosophies and agendas to the people.
During the meeting, Karra said he highlighted the party's ongoing efforts to rejuvenate organizational systems and enhance operational effectiveness.
"Bringing this system on track is a priority," he stated, adding that upcoming programs from the central leadership would be geared towards tangible, on-the-ground impacts. In his address, Karra emphasized the importance of communicating Congress’s agenda on a range of issues to the people.
He stated that a primary focus would be advocating for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood and addressing local issues like land and employment guarantees, which remain pivotal to residents' concerns.
Karra also discussed Jammu and Kashmir's escalating power crisis, including issues with rising power bills, increased metering, and rationing challenges.
"We’re committed to addressing these issues," he affirmed, noting the party’s intention to advocate for the regularization of casual laborers who have faced employment uncertainties for years. (KNS)
