Srinagar, September 1 (KNS): BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Sunday accused the Abdullah, Mufti, and Gandhi-Nehru families of looting Jammu and Kashmir and misleading the people.
He made these remarks while speaking to reporters, saying that the people of J&K have rejected these families and embraced the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chugh said that the candidates from the BJP are fighting the elections with full strength and determination. "Those who were mandated by the party are now in the battlefield. All the candidates of the BJP are fighting the elections with all their might," he said.
He criticized the Abdullah, Mufti, and Gandhi-Nehru families, claiming that they have looted J&K and are now hated by the people. "The people of J&K hate these three families and their small-time leaders. Whether it is the Abdullah family, the Mufti family, or the Gandhi-Nehru family, they are rejected by the people," he said.
Chugh specifically targeted Omar Abdullah, calling him a confused leader. He said that Omar Abdullah's statements on various issues, including elections and Article 370, reflect his confusion. "Sometimes Omar Abdullah says he will not fight elections, and other times he says he will. Sometimes he says the elections won't happen, and then he says he will fight for his father. This party is 100% confused," he added.
He further criticized Omar Abdullah's stance on Article 370, accusing him of creating delusions about the restoration of the special status.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"Sometimes he says he will bring back Article 370, and other times he says it cannot happen in this lifetime. Omar Abdullah has been established as the most confused leader in the world," he said.
Chugh also praised the developments that have taken place in J&K since August 5, 2019, when Article 370 was abrogated. He said that a new chapter of development and peace has begun in the region. "After August 5, 2019, a new chapter of development has been written. Peace has come, and the shop of corruption has closed. It is not going to open again," he said.
He added that the rights of citizens in J&K, including reservations for Pahadi, Gujjar, Bakarwal, women, and Scheduled Castes, have been protected under the BJP government. "Today, J&K is seeing happiness, peace, development, and faith. Let's move this forward," he further said.
Chugh urged the people of J&K not to be misled by the opposition and to continue supporting the BJP for the development of the region.
"I would like to request the people of J&K not to be misled. For the development of J&K, let's continue moving forward with faith and peace", he added.(KNS)
