Srinagar, June 23(KNS): The Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, RR Swain, has stated that terrorism in Jammu will be eradicated within the next three months.
He also announced that individuals harboring foreign terrorists will face prosecution under the Enemy Agents Act, a stricter law compared to the UAPA.
He stated while speaking to reporters at Jammu that the terrorists active in Jammu and Kashmir to be eliminated sooner or later, and that those who were involved in providing shelter or support to these mercenaries would face exemplary punishment.
The Director General of Police stated firmly, 'One thing is clear: we will crush terrorism at any cost and ensure no one disrupts peace and tranquillity in Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel' He added, 'Supporters of terrorists will face the same consequences as terrorists themselves.'
Swain has raised concerns over the internet's role in sustaining terrorism and separatism in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to him, 75% of the region's security challenges are now associated with the virtual world, as Pakistani handlers exploit online platforms for infiltration and weapons smuggling.(KNS).
