Three Arrested as Police Busts 'Narco terror network' in JK's Karnah

 Kupwara, June 15(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said that it busted a narco terror network by arresting three people in  Karnah area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

"Following an investigation into heroin sales, JKP and the Army conducted an operation resulting in the arrest of two individuals identified as Shafeeq Ahmad Sheikh (resident of Khawarparab, Karnah) and Tariq Ahmad Malik (resident of Baghballa), with approximately 500g of heroin seized," the police said.

"Further investigation revealed presence of 3 pistols with one Parvez Ahmed Pathan r/o Sadhpura," it said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"Immediately Parvez was apprehended in a joint raid by JKP and Army and 3 pistols, 76 pistol rounds, 6 pistol magazines and approx 5kg suspected explosive was recovered from his possession," the police added.

"In this regard FIR is registered and further interrogations and investigation is ongoing," the police said, adding that the Police is committed to zero terror policy.(KNS).
