Srinagar, Dec 3 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq on Tuesday called for the swift restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the urgency of granting the people their government.
Speaking to KNS, Sadiq highlighted that the Supreme Court’s direction supports the demand for an expedited restoration of statehood.
He also pointed out that the very first resolution passed by the local government’s cabinet after reorganization was to restore statehood, stating, "Considering all these factors, it seems the time has come for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to receive their rightful governance without further delay."
Addressing other pressing issues, Sadiq acknowledged the severe challenges posed by power shortages in the valley.

Sadiq assured that the government is working tirelessly to provide relief to the people before the harsh winter sets in. "We are striving to ensure that necessary measures are taken before the winter season brings further challenges, offering some comfort to the people," he said.
He also reiterated that all promises made by the Omar Abdullah-led government would be fulfilled within its five-year term, assuring the public of their commitment to deliver on every front. (KNS)
