Handwara, December 30 (KNS): A rest house managed by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism suffered partial destruction in a fire that occurred in Kothdaji Mankal, Mawer area of Handwara, in North Kashmir's Kupwara district during Friday night.
According to reports received by Kashmir News Service (KNS), the tourism rest house in Kothdaji Mankal of Mawer Handwara suffered damage in the fire incident.
A local resident said that the rest house, located on the outskirts of Mankal village in Mawer, caught fire, resulting in partial damage.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelPromptly, local residents rushed to the scene and attempted to extinguish the flames. "However, the fire caused significant harm to a major portion of the rest house," he said.
Meanwhile, the police have confirmed the incident and said that it has initiated an investigation into the matter.(KNS).
