Kishtwar, Nov 13 (KNS): A group of tourists from Odisha, visiting the scenic Murgantop in Kishtwar Valley, expressed their delight and amazement at the natural beauty of Kashmir.
Speaking to KNS, the group said that many concerns about safety in the J&K are unfounded, describing the region as both beautiful and safe. They encouraged more travelers to experience the area firsthand.
Among the group was Anuradha, a former Times of India journalist from Odisha. But since arriving, I have found it completely safe and peaceful,” Anuradha said.
She urged visitors to practice sustainable tourism by not littering and encouraged the media to portray an accurate picture of Kashmir to the world.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Media plays a huge role in shaping people’s views. Many of the negative perceptions are baseless, and Kashmir is different from how it’s often portrayed,” she added.
Gabriel, a tourist from Sweden, shared similar sentiments. “I arrived yesterday and woke up to an incredible view,” he said. “The journey through Margantop Pass was amazing, and we saw four beautiful lakes. On our way back, the sunset faded into a dark night filled with starsthe clearest I’ have ever seen, including the Milky Way. It’s a moment I will never forget.”
The tourists urged people to visit the Kashmir Valley and witness its true beauty and tranquility, which they believe is often misunderstood by those who have never visited. (KNS)
