Traffic Police Urge Public to Clear Unpaid Challans by December 14

 Srinagar, Dec 9 (KNS): The Traffic Police in Kashmir Valley has issued a public notice urging vehicle owners and drivers to clear their pending challans on the Parivahan platform and the Virtual Court portals.

According to the notice, a significant number of vehicles plying the roads in the valley have unpaid challans despite repeated appeals for compliance.

The notice states that minimal action has been taken by the public to settle these outstanding fines, with the number of unpaid challans either remaining stagnant or increasing over time. To address this issue, vehicle owners are directed to pay their fines either online or by approaching the Lok Adalat benches being held at the District Court, Srinagar, by December 14, 2024.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The notice further warns that starting December 16, 2024, strict legal action will be initiated against vehicles with multiple unpaid challans. This action will include the seizure of vehicles and the suspension of related documents, such as Registration Certificates, Fitness Certificates, and Permits, in cases of non-compliance.

The Traffic Police highlighted that this notice is issued for strict compliance and urged all concerned to act promptly to avoid legal consequences. (KNS)
