TREHGAM/KUPWARA, JULY 22(KNS: In a heartwarming display of compassion and innovation, the Hajipir Brigade, in collaboration with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayita Samiti and Sultan-Ul-Arifeen Artificial Limb & Caliper Fitment Centre, Srinagar, organized a groundbreaking three-day Artificial Limb Fitment Camp at Trehgam.

Over 410 individuals with limb disabilities from far-flung border areas of Kupwara received free prosthetic limbs and medical aids, including, Wheelchairs 42 Hearing aids 300, Crutches (pairs) 9, Calipers, 54, Hand Sticks 10, Elbow Crutches: 26, Limbs: 14 Walkers: 10

A dedicated team of skilled doctors and technicians provided customized support, ensuring each recipient received pre-fitment medical examinations, custom molding and fitting of prosthetic limbs, training sessions on use and maintenance, and counseling and support for adaptation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Beneficiaries, many of whom were deprived people without access to such facilities, expressed heartfelt gratitude, showcasing the profound impact of artificial limbs on their lives. This assistance enabled them to reclaim independence and pursue their aspirations.

This camp exemplifies the power of collaboration and innovation in transforming lives, instilling renewed confidence and hope among recipients in the remote border areas of Kupwara. It aims to extend continued support and celebrate such initiatives, making a difference one step at a time.
