Baramulla, Nov 15(KNS): The 4th District Baramulla Indoor Rowing Championship concluded on Wednesday at Women's Degree College Sopore.
Organized by the District Rowing & Sculling Association Baramulla, the event saw active participation from boys and girls representing various schools and clubs in Sopore.
The closing ceremony was attended by prominent figures including SP Sopore Divya D., international kayaking and canoeing player Bilquis Mir, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, S.A. Raina, who served as the Chief Guest.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Muzaffar Ahmad, President of the District Water Sports Association Baramulla, highlighted ongoing efforts to train young athletes in the absence of certain facilities. He also called on the administration to address challenges, such as the lack of equipment, to support the growth of water sports in the region. Ahmad expressed appreciation for the strong turnout from students.
SP Sopore Divya D. remarked on the importance of sports in motivating youth and helping them to excel across various fields.(KNS).
