Two Laborers Critically Injured After Falling Off Bus Roof in Handwara

Kupwara, July 11 (KNS): Two passengers sustained critical injuries after falling off the roof of a private bus in the Ghaziabad area of North Kashmir's Kupwara district, officials reported on Thursday.

According to local sources, the bus was overloaded, forcing several passengers, mostly laborers, to occupy its roof. As the bus neared Palapora, two passengers slipped while attempting to deboard, resulting in severe injuries.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The injured individuals have been identified as Sahil Ahmad Teli (25), son of Ghulam Ahmad Teli from Mandigam, and Ubaid Bashir Bhat (23), son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat from Badrah Payeen. Both were transported to GMC Baramulla for treatment.

A police official confirmed that the victims are laborers and stated, "We have registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of the law."(KNS)
