Two Union Leaders Arrested After Protests in Katra Over Ropeway Project

 Jammu, Nov 27 (KNS): Two labor union leaders, including Congress leader Bupinder Singh Jamwal, were arrested following violent protests in Katra on Monday.

The protests were against the proposed ropeway project connecting Katra town to the Vaishno Devi shrine.

Police arrested Jamwal and Sohan Chand, another union leader, during the clashes. Several protesters were also booked for stone pelting and assaulting police officers, including the station house officer. (KNS)
