Unscheduled power cuts irk Mawer residents

Srinagar, August 29 (KNS): The residents of several villages of Mawer in Kupwara district on Thursday complained about interrupted power supply in the area despite paying regular electricity bills.

The residents told Kashmir News Service (KNS), the villages including Audoora, Warpora, Drugsoo, Nowgam, Lawoosa, , Shahrama,Shahnagri , khudi ,Lawoosa, and adjoining areas are not getting power supply as per schedule.

They alleged that the employees at Grid Station Audoora Qalamabad are deliberately making people to suffer and are resorting to interrupted power supply in the area.

Imran Ahmad, a local resident from Qalamabad told KNS that they are paying Rs.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel1040 Rupees electricity bills regularly Per Month but not getting the power supply as per schedule.

"During 24 hours, areas are getting only 3 , 5 hours of power supply Nowgam Fider, thereby making them suffer even in the month of August ” he said.

The residents said the PDD should cancel their load agreements as department has failed to provide electricity to these areas as per schedule.

However the Executive Engineer Handwara stated that there is some fault in Nogam feeder and the work is going on and the power will be restored today.(KNS)
