Srinagar, July 2 (KNS): Senior Vice President Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference and Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil has warmly welcomed the decisive and compassionate measures announced by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha during a high-level meeting in Srinagar to address the long-standing grievances of families who lost their loved ones to terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Vakil lauded the LG's direction to reopen buried cases, register fresh FIRs, and ensure the rightful rehabilitation of the victim families, including provision of government jobs to the next of kin and financial support through self-employment schemes like MUDRA.

Calling the LG’s initiatives “a step in the right direction,” Vakil expressed hope that these directions will be implemented in a time-bound and transparent manner so that justice is not delayed any further. “We must stand with the victim families and ensure that their sacrifices are neither ignored nor forgotten. The Peoples Conference stands in solidarity with all such affected families.”
Vakil urged the administration to closely monitor the execution of these directives to ensure genuine victims receive due benefits and no political or bureaucratic interference is allowed to derail the process.(KNS)
